Independent inspection and testing
Mold testing
Mold testing collects air or surface samples that a laboratory analyzes to help answer a specific question about the property. PureAir recommends the sampling method that fits the concern rather than a fixed package.

A clear, property-specific scope
The inspector starts with the property history and the reason for the visit. Accessible areas within the agreed scope are reviewed, relevant measurements are documented, and sampling is recommended only when it can answer a defined question.

Types of mold testing
Air sampling compares indoor air with an outdoor reference. Surface swab and tape lift samples identify growth on a specific material. Wall cavity sampling checks enclosed spaces when there is a reason to suspect hidden growth. HVAC sampling looks at the air handling system.
When mold testing is useful
Testing helps when you need documentation for a transaction or a landlord, when there is an odor but no visible source, or when you want to confirm conditions after remediation completed by another company.
How results are reported
Samples are sent to a laboratory for analysis. The report explains what was sampled, where and why, and the inspector helps you understand what the results mean for next steps.
Common questions
Do I need a mold inspection before mold testing?
Usually yes. The inspection defines the question that testing should answer, which decides the sampling method and location.
What happens after mold samples are collected?
Samples go to a laboratory for analysis. You then receive a report describing the samples, the results and what they suggest about the property.
