Independent inspection and testing

Clearance Testing

Mold clearance testing uses air and surface samples to check conditions after remediation by another company. It is often part of post-remediation verification.

What to expect

A clear, property-specific scope

The inspector starts with the property history and the reason for the visit. Accessible areas within the agreed scope are reviewed, relevant measurements are documented, and sampling is recommended only when it can answer a defined question.

  • Property history and concern review
  • Visual assessment of relevant accessible areas
  • Clear findings and recommended next steps

How clearance testing works

After the remediation contractor reports the work complete, air samples are taken inside the work area and compared with an outdoor or unaffected reference. Surface samples may be added where the remediation scope calls for them.

Independent results

Because PureAir does not remediate, clearance results are reported independently of the company that did the work.

Common questions

What if clearance testing does not pass?

The report explains the results so the remediation contractor can review the work area, and testing can be repeated afterward.
